Crafty Ideas that are Uniquely Yours

I love to craft, paint and crochet when I have some relaxing free time in my life but I can’t just follow a pattern, I am always looking to be unique. I just stumbled into bringing my crafts into a profitable endeavor over the summer of 2009 offline. I set up and Etsy account in June Chrissy Craft Shop but didn’t officially open until December 2009.

When you hit upon something unique and favorable to others they let you know. I have the great pleasure of guest blogging at the Craft Blog owned and operated by Loretta Oliver and Passionate About Crafting owned and operated by Shelly Hill which really get my creations seen with a vast diverse display of comments by their regular readers, what a great bunch of too!

Because of the winter coming to an end my Snow Pony creation will be shelved until next season when I will have a large variety of them for sale as well I may possibly put the pattern for sale as well. This was the best creation I came up with this past year, first to my cute Quirky Crafter Handbag which I also adore and plan to have tons of colors created for this spring/summer craft fair.

The Snow Pony Hat being created out of sheer need for my long, waist length hair and my pony tail infactuation! I couldn’t find anything I liked but this came to my mind after only seeing an odd looking thing that looked nothing like what I envisioned BUT it’s technique used gave me an idea! I now have a very cool hat exactly they way I wanted it…priceless!

Now my Brimmed Ear-warmers, well they aren’t so unique that people will do flips over it, I just took a typical ear-warmer idea with my own twist and added a brim. It’s still unique and it’s my own thought up pattern…so it is worth mentioning.

I decided on making some necklaces just for fun and just for me BUT upon doing so have had an idea! I am not going to share exactly what, but will be necklaces. I have never seen them before ANYWHERE and if they end up the way I envision them…they will be completely awesome and unique. Granted the ones I made that are pictured where an add a charm necklace starter and the idea I had will look nothing like these cool, rocking things…none-the-less they are what inspired the idea.

I just love inspiration that enables you to come up with something completely unique and amazing! It’s also good for a crafter’s business!!!
