Upon receiving some sound advice about a button ad of mine I decided on doing a little research. I did a lot of other research before I launched this site BUT I wish I had on this subject too.

I am a web graphic designer and frankly it makes me want to go big with design, but sometimes big is bad. As I was reading about pet peeves that people have upon visiting websites I came to the realization that my huge design ideas were not going to work if I wanted my numbers to continue to increase.

For most of the peeves I didn’t fall into such as I have a contact form readily available and easy to find. I don’t go crazy with different font types and multiple colors. I do however, embarrassingly admit I love animated graphics and elaborate graphics. I found out most people visiting your sites don’t give a crap about all that. Yes, the want an ascetically nice looking design yet they don’t want to see these flashy graphics saying look at me, look at me (such as headers that take up the whole page, flashy animated header graphics, flash intros and too many graphics on pages).

Because I’m a web graphic designer, this never was a subject I thought about. However, today I learned that my graphic abilities should be expressed on my web graphic site I sell it from! When people visit that site, that’s when they want to be wowed but NOT on a WAHM Blog.

This is the final version and I am proud to say I listen, I learn and I am proud to have the teachers I do!
