Calling in Sick

Working odd hours because I can…the many perks of working from my home also comes with a downfall, I tend to keep pushing through pending illness…and usually wear myself so thin I get hit and hit hard. Although few and far between when it happens…it literally takes me out of commission for some time. I pushed myself so hard one year my bronchitis turned into pneumonia and I was severely sick for almost 4 months.

I watched it better, slowed down more years following but still had a tendency to push myself during sickness a bit more than I should. Then I started eating right, started exercising and lost over 80 lbs. I felt AMAZING….only for a few chest colds in 3 years (all do to taking on more work than I should have) I felt better than I had in years.

Since my move last year I have slipped up on keeping a good diet and exercise well…to embarrassed to say…as for over 3 years I was totally on schedule with it 5 days a week. Maintained my weight-loss and my last pregnancy was the healthiest pregnancy I had and lost all the weight within month after. I was healthy. I barely got sick & if I was paying attention to it…avoided it by slowing down and resting.

I know with my lack of healthy choices and working long hours my body is tired, worn out. Although I have been talking about how to implement a work out in a smaller space here, talk doesn’t do anything! I have been doing better with the food after I realized I jumped 10 lbs last month.

I AM CALLING IN SICK for the next day or so. Loading up on extra vitamin C and taking my echincea supplements and RESTING. If this wasn’t just the kick in the rump that I needed to pull my head out of the sand & get back..all of us…on our not so long ago healthy life regimen.
