All Things are Not Created Equal

Most of us know this, but never eases the frustrations when dealing with designing issues and internet browsers. IE7 displays all my graphics so beautifully as does Mozilla Firefox. Yet, using my favorite rendering of graphics, the Portable Network Graphic (PNG) format still throws IE6, which apparently A LOT of people still use, into a fit of rage and refuses to behave like a good little browser. Makes my very beautiful transparent graphics look extremely armature and they’re not!

Not to mention IE6 doesn’t embrace the css coding like it’s upgraded counterpart IE7 does or Mozilla Firefox. Which made me throw a fit! What’s with ALL these browsers and why can’t they just get along for crying out loud! (the whole time I was testing in IE7, I failed to remember to test in IE6…big oops on my part)

Fixes for this problem, HA. Those worked so very well…tisk tisk!

Having a newer and much meatier graphics software, I had yet to explore, I decided it was time to crack this baby open and see how I could render the much more cozy, for finicky IE, GIF format that my current graphic software just don’t dither very nicely, so haven’t used.

I declare it somewhat successful. I would say 8 to 9 out of 10 people who have viewed this site won’t ever notice the slight difference the GIF format produced. Those 1 or 2 that would notice are going to be my fellow designing buddies.

So here is to success, a long frustrating night and a beautifully designed site!
