Working WAHM with Val Selby

Where do I start with Val? I will start with this, I couldn’t have picked anyone better to bring in the New Year! She is as vibrant as the festivities going on to bring it in! When I met Val we just clicked. I love her candid open nature to speak her mind and her amazing business ethics! Working WAHM is one of the best WAHM blogs that I read, I especially love her quick tips. As most of us are always on the look out for information to keep our websites up and moving forward, we don’t always have the time to read long reports or ebook, ya know! We still need the nudge and the information and she does it well and easy to read tips! Val’s love for wellness is shown in her offline work as well as her online work. Busy Momma Wellness is the site for the busy mom who desires to take the

Patience, a Virtue You must Have in Online Business

Post Comment

It can never be said enough that just because you sign up for this or create a store that in a weeks time you’ll be found in the sea of competitors and HUGE corporations and start rolling in the doe, it just doesn’t happen like that. All to often people expect to make money right away. We are used to that if we come from corporate america and were receiving a paycheck every payday. We damn well made sure we got paid for our hard work. You can bet your ass I expected it back in 2001 when I decided to venture online and see what I could find. Oh boy, did I get slammed, scammed and thank you ma’amed…I got screwed. Just because I could type and didn’t know shit squat about about these con companies, I got sucked in. I worked this particular company for longer than I am willing to admit

Goal Setting in 2010, Do You Have Yours Set?

Every year during the kids Christmas break I sit down and evaluate the past years goals. I look at whether I attained them or not, how I did or why I did not. I then further my evaluation by weeding out what has not been working and either eliminating it all together or changing it up and setting new goals. I don’t know about you but I also do mini evals. throughout the year and adjust where I think necessary. I did have to make a decision this year before my goal setting takes place on keeping a domain name and site that just wasn’t doing as well as I had hoped for the year.  I decided to keep it, with much encouragement and decided to put a spin on what it was being used for and hope to have it finished by the time I start  2010’s goal setting. I remember when I first

Grand Opening of Chrissy’s Craft Shop & Blog

Post Comment

etsy-header

It’s been an exciting last few days for me as I launched my Etsy Shop and my craft blog. The Shop was in the making for quite a few months, although I was hoping for a much sooner launch date I still managed to get it up and going before Christmas! Come check it out right now! I decided to launch a blog with the Shop for two main reasons. First to blog about my crafting, show off my crafts and to refamilarize myself with the blogger coding in order to design templates for sale on Jensen’s Designs. I am quite the wordpress snob and it really isn’t good for my designing business, LOL. So while most of my sites are run using wordpress, I shall have one lone blog sitting on blogger. To tell you the truth, it’s not that bad I actually really like how easy it was and all the new gadgets

WAHM Talk Radio with Kelly McCausey

Kelly is as gifted as she is special, I will always consider her a friend and one hell of a business woman. I met Kelly years ago on Internet Based Mom Forum. We hosted a few chats together, I ran USAWAHM for a while and watched WAHM Talk Radio be born, I was even on the show a few times its first year. There was no question in my mind that Kelly would achieve greatness in the WAHM community. Am I putting her on a pedestal? Yeah, guess I am. To me she is famous in the WAHM world, her hard work has paid off! She has not lost herself, remains true to others and her goals. I am proud to say I knew her when, delighted to say I know her now. Many new work at home moms may sit and wonder, does this truly happen or is it all hype. No it truly does happen and Kelly is a testament for

Sick Days Over

Post Comment

Took practically the whole holiday week off including the weekend, only to feel under the weather Sunday until today. Although I still think I am fighting something I do feel better, so it’s back to work for me. I have mapped out some plans to implement in the next few days so to get my Christmas offers out. If your needing any writing or design work done…you won’t want to miss them! Seriously you’ll kick yourself! Am working on my post for this Months super special WAHM Spotlight to be announced tomorrow, must re-email for use of the picture. May have ended up in spam folder (subject was a bit general, I so love/hate spam folders LOL) The newsletter should go out on time, so I am on schedule with a little crunch time tomorrow…used to that and usually thrive well with a little
