Let’s face it, as a WAHM, we sit way too much. Especially if you don’t have little one’s helping you get up every few minutes. It’s very easy to get working and not get up for hours. It’s part of the problem with loving what you do. All this sitting is not good for your body as a whole, but definitely a worry for your waistline. You’ll be much more productive by taking breaks. Here area few tips to combat all that sitting. 1. Use a timer. Set it for an hour or hour and a half, then get up and moving. 2. Your to do list. Writ out your to do list so there will be natural spots to take breaks. 3. Change the work location. If you use a laptop, this is even easier. Work from the dining room table, then from comfy chair, then maybe move to the kitchen counter. If

Crocheting is a beautiful craft and I adore every bit of time I get to spend creating something totally awesome with it, but is a time consuming task and it takes some concentration to do it, although I tend to be able watch TV and crochet at the same time which I guess makes me a multitasker beyond this desk, he he! I have been for the past year creating and selling my items at farmers/craft markets, it’s an awesome feeling that people love my stuff. However, I have had people ask if I had patterns as they enjoy crocheting too and would love to be able to make my designs themselves. Totally fine with that BUT I had not written done some of my original designs yet. I directed them to websites that may interest them. Then it hit me, I need to get these written out and start offering

Being an Independent Kitchen Consultant, I know what it’s like to be a mom with a busy schedule. I share this with my all my Hosts and thought it would be a great suggestion to all! Fun “YOU DESERVE TO BE PAMPERED” THOUGHTS “ Why Pampering is important… It’s so easy to come up with excuses for why we shouldn’t pamper ourselves. The usual ones are… I don’t have the time, I have too much to do, and… it’s just not important. All of these excuses can be dispelled. The usual reason that someone thinks that they don’t have time is because they don’t schedule the time into their lives. Couldn’t you find that hour here or there if you really think about it? Is there a sister, friend, or husband that can watch the kids for an afternoon while you soak in the tub and read a

I’ll barter, I’ll sell BUT I won’t sell out. I have been thinking on this subject for sometime now and with the rash of things going on I really need to grasp hold and get a direction on it. You see, I have am constantly researching for my design business on what others are charging, what they offer and the ratio of quality work and price. Garbage web design sites weren’t even considered in my research, yet the portfolio’s look quite meaty on some of them. Then I realize they are practically giving away the designs with there prices. I guess I would take less than fabulous, mediocre design too for the prices. I have also seen some truly AMAZING work of others, who are talented like me, who almost made me spit out my coffee because of the nearly FREE price tags on their ad banner

I love LA ink, I do adore reality shows and have to say LA Ink takes the cake. It’s not that I only have tattoos and love the artwork produced from Kat’s shop (or even the fact my nickname is Kat) but I adore following it cause of all the drama surrounding the business. Seeing I run my own business from home I am interested in watching another woman rock their business by striving to be bigger and better. That she certainly has and continues to do! As I watch the show I can instantly see the dynamics of the business from a perspective of a working woman. A business is like a machine and all the components must work together for it to run smoothly, if somethings breaks down it must be fixed or it will cease to work and will eventually fall apart. I so appreciate this show on so many

I love to craft, paint and crochet when I have some relaxing free time in my life but I can’t just follow a pattern, I am always looking to be unique. I just stumbled into bringing my crafts into a profitable endeavor over the summer of 2009 offline. I set up and Etsy account in June Chrissy Craft Shop but didn’t officially open until December 2009. When you hit upon something unique and favorable to others they let you know. I have the great pleasure of guest blogging at the Craft Blog owned and operated by Loretta Oliver and Passionate About Crafting owned and operated by Shelly Hill which really get my creations seen with a vast diverse display of comments by their regular readers, what a great bunch of too! Because of the winter coming to an end my Snow Pony creation will be
